Value-Add Offshore Engineering and Procurement
Mondium has access to value-add (cost, schedule, quality and safety) engineering and fabrication/assemble centres and is able to pass these benefits directly to clients.
Value-add centres in Manila and Cape Town are well established and provide engineering, drafting and procurement support services. Head office engineering/drafting teams are responsible for the quality and on time delivery of all engineering/drafting deliverables and utilise ProjectWise, a Bentley software package, to share design files and technical data with other offices in a live and secure server environment. All centres use the same standards and procedures.
Mondium has permanent in-house procurement teams that provide procurement and contracting services to clients. With recent, current and ongoing projects the procurement teams are extensively connected with vendors, suppliers and fabricators in Australia and across the globe to provide the best value for clients.
Fabrication Cost Optimisation and Value-Adding
Mondium, via its shareholders, has more than 20 years experience using known low cost, high quality overseas fabricators to realise the best value for clients.
Monadelphous has been providing cost savings and value to its projects for the past nine years through its subsidiary SinoStruct, with fabrication, trial assembly, pre-assembly, modularisation and panelisation undertaken in China. Fabricated goods are of the highest quality and are fully assembled to the maximum extent possible and packaged in erectable bundles in purpose built cradles to save handling and erection costs at site.
SinoStruct has delivered more than 40,000+ tonnes of fabricated steelwork and platework and owns more than 400 world class design flat-racks for transporting steel from workshop to project sites. It has the in-house design capability for special transport frames which ensures transport and lifting arrangements are safe and of logistical ease.
SinoStruct’s in-house traceability system MATCON enables 100 percent traceability of any component, from receipt into stores through to issuing to workshop, right through the fabrication process - cutting, fitting, welding, NDE, painting and packing for delivery to site.
Mondium also has access to Lycopodium’s 20+ year history of sourcing fabricated products from high quality, low cost fabrication centres in South East Asia, China, South/East/West and throughout Africa.
Construction Cost Optimisation and Constructability
EPC is the true enabler for innovation and constructability in design. Construction activities are considered early as an integral part of the design and procurement process to enable correct sequencing of works, schedule optimisation and buildability. Mondium has significant project experience and capability in adopting panelisation, pre-assembly and other modularisation strategies to reduce site man-hours and provide cost and schedule savings on our projects. Mondium, via Monadelphous, has access to an extensive specialist fleet of cranes and heavy lift cranage that offers constructability savings across its projects by minimising work at heights. All other construction plant and equipment is owned and managed via the in-house plant and equipment group including maintenance and delivery to project sites.
